Meet your coach

Andrea Techera

Andrea grew up in a small town in Massachusetts. At a young age she opened her own business and became a successful antique dealer. While owning and operating her business, Andrea cared for her young family and pursued her passion for health and adventure by weight training, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, becoming a successful runner and building a meaningful mindfulness meditation practice. Andrea has organized and directed local group hikes and camping excursions with a focus on personal and therapeutic growth. She has coached many activities including group fitness experiences, personal training sessions, health coaching, nutrition coaching, running coaching, and mindfulness meditation and nutrition courses. Andrea has many years of experience with coaching, health and wellness, and psychoeducation that she has actively applied to her coaching practices. Andrea has developed an optimal approach to coaching that integrates her coaching knowledge with her clinical psychology education and brings about meaningful change in the lives of her clients.  Andrea continues to build experience through her passion for life, drive to help others and the implementation of Integrative Acceptance & Commitment Coaching.

Masters in Clinical Counseling & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Candidate at Assumption University

Andrea is currently a graduate student at Assumption University in Worcester Massachusetts. She is enrolled in Assumption Universities pioneering Clinical counseling Psychology & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program with an expected graduation date of May 2026.  Andrea's outstanding grades and commitment to the field of psychology led her to be appointed to Psi Chi, The International Honors society in Psychology. Andrea was also awarded the prestigious research fellowship at Assumption University where she is currently conducting research on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.    

Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Clark University

Andrea holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Clark University. Andrea majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. She also graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Andrea conducted meaningful research into mindfulness meditation, human sexuality, ACT therapy and the effects of language on the development of identity. Andrea was named to Clark University's honors roll and initiated into both Psi Chi and Phi Theta Kappa honors societies.

American Counsel on Exercise Certified Health & Wellness Coach

Andrea holds a current certification from the American Counsel on Exercise as a Certified Health & Wellness Coach. For four years Andrea has provided excellence in the field of health and wellness coaching by integrating her experience as a coach, her passion for life and wellness and her experience in the filed of psychology. Andrea has offered a unique and effective program that continues to improve the lives of her clients. 

American Counsel on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer & group fitness instructor

Andrea holds a current certification as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor from the American Council on Exercise. As a personal trainer Andrea has guided meaningful change for her clients by integrating her knowledge of mental wellness, nutritional wellness, and physical wellness. Andrea has also devised clear and powerful fitness programs tailored to each individual client by meeting them where they are on their path to wellness. 

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Certified By UMass Memorial Hospital

Andrea has attended the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program at UMass Memorial Hospital. She has integrated her personal experiences with mindfulness meditation, her educational experiences with Mindfulness meditation from Clark University and Assumption University with the teachings offered by UMass. this integration has allowed Andrea to utilize mindfulness meditation as a means of stress reduction, emotional wellbeing, and cognitive growth for clients.
